What can the SPEED
team offer you?
Resources – The 9-1-1
Communications office at SPAG provides free
resources and
curriculum ideas to SPEED team
volunteers to use in 9-1-1 Public Education presentations.
Training
– Training workshops for seasoned and new volunteers are held each
semester at SPAG. The workshops allow members to network, share ideas,
and brainstorm for new ones. At each workshop, goals are set for the
semester and supplies are distributed for school presentations. View an
example of an agenda.
Networking – With any amount of experience in 9-1-1 public
education, you can benefit from the resources and networking the SPEED
team provides. You will learn responses to many questions about 9-1-1
services and receive many helpful hints for your own presentations.
Ultimately, you meet others dedicated to 9-1-1 public education who
share your interests in the public’s safety.
